Ingredients:
- 2 slices of whole-grain bread
- 2 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1/2 apple, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon honey optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Set a pan or griddle over medium heat
Each piece of bread should have one side brushed with butter
Put a slice of Swiss cheese on one slice of bread that hasnt been buttered yet
Put the apple slices that are very thin on top of the cheese
Put some salt, pepper, and cinnamon on top of the apples
For extra sweetness, you can drizzle honey over the apples if you want to
Toast the other piece of bread and put it on top
Place the sandwich carefully on the hot griddle or skillet
The bread should be grilled for two to three minutes on each side, or until it turns golden brown and the cheese melts
Take it off the heat and let it cool for one minute before cutting it
Enjoy while hot
