Crispy Tofu with Broccoli and Rice

This recipe yields crispy tofu cubes with a flavorful coating, served with nutritious broccoli and fluffy rice. Its a satisfying and balanced meal thats perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions:

Coat the tofu cubes with cornstarch by tossing them in a bowl

Combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, paprika, onion, and garlic powders in a separate bowl

Coat the tofu cubes thoroughly after adding them to the sauce mixture

In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat

Cook the tofu cubes in the skillet for 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or until they become crispy

Steam broccoli florets in a separate pan for about 5 minutes, or until they are tender

Arrange cooked rice and steamed broccoli on two white plates, and then top with crispy tofu
